FOREST PROTECTION
TargetAI is implementing a pilot project in the Akmola Region (Kokshetau).
Monitoring and analysis of video streams from ground-based surveillance cameras and patrol drones for the automatic detection of smoke or fire in open areas: forests, steppes, fields, and pastures.

The digitalization of forest and steppe ecosystem protection can become a key element in the implementation of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The introduction of intelligent video analytics ensures the rapid detection of threats across vast and hard-to-reach natural areas where the use of traditional smoke and fire detection sensors is ineffective or impossible.

Early detection of fire outbreaks prevents the spread of large-scale fires, reduces risks to public health and human life, minimizes damage to agriculture, and significantly reduces government expenditures on eliminating the consequences.
  • Functional Capabilities:
    • Automatic detection of smoke and/or fire at an early stage within the camera’s field of view;
    • Generation of emergency alerts about the event and creation of a fire incident card;
    • Modeling the spread of fire based on wind, temperature, and precipitation to improve the effectiveness of response scenarios;
    • Monitoring remote and hard-to-reach areas from the air;
    • Integration with UAVs and thermal imaging cameras: aerial reconnaissance, live video streaming, and identification of the fire source and perimeter;
    • Automatic notifications to responsible personnel;
    • Coordination of response forces: deployment of teams, status tracking, and route prioritization;
    • Routing of special-purpose vehicles: optimal routes taking into account traffic conditions and accessibility (terrain features).
